Casualties Guild Charter
THE CASUALTIES - GUILD CHARTER
Games have come and gone, but our ambitions have not. Our lives have changed. Where ten hours /played was once just a start, it is now our entire week. As guilds progressed, we blogged. As new dungeons rolled down the line, our sick dog forced us to sit idly by. As our children slept, we played. We now come forth, like-minded and joined. We are the Casualties.
Our Guild Commandments
1. Fun is not simply a goal, it is our mission. All those that would stand in its way will be removed.
2. Do not ask what the Guild can do for you, but what you can do for the Guild. The Guild always comes first. No single member will ever be greater than the Guild.
3. Gaming is a hobby and a passion, but not life itself. Your real life reflects on your virtual life. Take care of the first and the latter will be just fine.
4. A family that games together, stays together. The main purpose for the guild is to play together with others who also enjoy gaming. When it's possible, give preference to guild groups and event over non-guild groups and events. Support each other and do whatever it takes to make the whole guild stronger.
5. Respect the decisions made by Guild Leadership. The Guild Leadership will be doing their best to act in the positive interest of the guild. Problems with decisions can be taken up with an Officer directly.
6. Harassment in any form will not be tolerated. No matter the case, once taken into consideration, it will be grounds for removal from the Guild.
7. Keep chat topics light. There are two things you never discuss openly with your guild mates: politics and religion.
8. Respect is first and foremost. Respect all others at all times, whether or not they deserve it. Bad apples always fall farthest from the tree, making them easy to squash if left alone.
9. Keep your cool. Laugh, have fun, and shrug it off when things don’t go your way.
10. "Praise in Public, Dispute in Private". Any guild dispute will not leave our discussion forums or chat, or the member discussing it will be leaving with it.
11. Uphold the EULA of any game we play. No cheating, no breaking the rules set forth by the company. It’s that simple. Exploiters, cheaters, griefers, and folks of that nature will not be tolerated and will be kicked from the guild.
12. Don’t Speak for the Whole Guild. Please refrain from obligating the guild to anything that hasn’t first been discussed with the rest of the group. Things like parties, events, interviews, and the like should be discussed first with the leadership, and then with the guild as a whole on the forums and in-game.
Special thanks go out to the Old Timers Guild for inspiring us with their own charter and creed.
